Safety and quality

It goes without saying that VION Food Group places paramount importance on the safety and quality of its products. VION Food Group sets itself high quality standards in its operational management.
VION Food Group uses a Food Safety Policy which establishes the principles for food safety.

VION Food Group operates according to the recognised standardised codes and quality standards. Each site operates, as a minimum, in accordance with one of the quality standards recognised by GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), such as IFS, BRC or EFSIS. GFSI is the quality standard that is internationally recognised by supermarkets.
All quality systems have been certified by independent certification bodies.

The basis of our food safety policy is the HACCP quality control concept developed by VION Food Group itself. This is based on the Codex Alimentarius, the global standard for food safety.
This means that VION Food Group products have free access to markets with high safety requirements, such as Japan and the USA.

The biological, chemical and mechanical processes within VION Food Group are continually tested and improved where possible. VION Food Group expects the same high safety and quality standards from its suppliers. The high quality and safety requirements for farmers and for the VION production companies also apply to the quality of the products. Taste, colour, smell and ease of use also receive the same amount of attention.

VION Food Group works together with independent laboratories for all audit activities and measurements.
