Supervisory Board

The task of the Supervisory Board is to oversee the policy of the Board of Management and the general performance of VION and its companies.
The Supervisory Board also monitors the operation and integrity of the internal management and risk management systems and procedures that have been set up by the Board of Management.

The Supervisory Board regulates its own activities and its relationship with the Board of Management through standing orders.
The standing orders contain a profile in which the desired skills and background of a board member are laid down. The profile is a guiding element in the selection of a member of the Supervisory Board.

The members of the Supervisory Board are independent of VION N.V. (VION Food Group) The standing orders ensure that the Board can perform its duties independently. Each member of the Supervisory Board can oversee and assess the main points of the overall policy. In addition, each member has specific expertise.

The fees paid to the members of the VION Supervisory Board are in no way linked to or dependent on the financial performance of VION Food Group.

The proper provision of information and an open communication between the Supervisory Board and the VION organisation is guaranteed. The Supervisory Board conducts a minimum of one plant visit each year at home or abroad.

The Supervisory Board takes a proactive approach to gathering information and communicating with the company. The Supervisory Board regularly goes into specific subjects which are of importance for the business.
