VION Food
VION Food is active in the efficient, hygienic and high-quality production of fresh pork, beef, chicken and lamb. In addition, VION develops, produces and markets convenience food based on meat and other foodstuffs such as vegetables and vegetarian products.
Global operations
VION Food has slaughtering, processing and production companies for consumer products in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, Russia, Thailand, Poland and Australia. VION Food has 27,000 employees and the organisation is divided into VION Food Netherlands, VION Food Germany, VION Food UK and VION Food International.
VION Food Netherlands
VION Food Netherlands is a specialist producer of high-quality pork and beef products as well as derived convenience products (Fresh Meat and Convenience), brought to consumers via the retail, industrial and food service sectors.
Due to the high degree of self-sufficiency of the Netherlands, VION Food Netherlands is strongly export-oriented. For example, the UK (bacon) and Italy (ham) are important export countries.
VION Food Germany
VION Food Germany produces pork and beef products and derived convenience products which we sell through the retail, industrial and food service sectors. Germany focuses less on export, because the degree of self-sufficiency in this country is lower.
VION Food United Kingdom
VION Food United Kingdom supplies chicken, pork, beef, lamb and convenience products to the retail, industrial and food service sectors, with a strong focus on the British retail market.
VION Food Netherlands supplies raw materials such as pork to VION Food UK.
VION Food International
VION Food International plays an important role in the growing network of worldwide meat markets. It is important for internationally active companies such as VION to be present in these markets and to operate efficiently in them. VION will lay the basis for growth in the promising Eastern European region by further expanding the number of sales offices in this area and sharpening its organisational structures. Many agricultural producers will benefit from this.
